Limited edition of 60 (of which 1-25 are in this deluxe binding)
Illustrations by: Gene Holtan
Narrative Description: A handmade book in a fine binding, printed letterpress on Shadowmould paper from all handset Centaur, Arrighi and Mistral types. With 21 letterpressed illustrations, 9 of which are large tipped-in plates.

Limited to an edition of 60, numbered and signed by Carol Cunningham and Gene Holtan who is an award-winning book illustrator. This book is one of 25 which are in a distinctive white leather and cloth sculpted binding by Joseph D’Ambrosio, housed in a striking orange clamshell box which has been specially designed to support the unique shape of the binding. The box has an orange and black paper label pasted on the spine.

A whimsical book about the nine Greek Muses, patronesses of the arts, enlivened by Gene’s drawings of muses and putti. The final page has a little drawing (not in the miniature edition) that Gene did of himself on a letter to Carol, which she subsequently included in the book. This is the large format edition that preceded the miniature version of this title printed by Sunflower Press in 1998. Entertaining and informative too—Greek mythology has never been this fun! This book will be of interest to anyone in the creative arts and appreciators of Greek culture. This deluxe copy in the fine white binding will appeal to collectors of fine bindings, and would make a nice wedding present.
