The examples include dolls, doll houses, toy china, miniature furniture, farms, teddy bears, musical toys, automata, prams, model trains, dissected puzzles, toy theaters, scrapbooks and money boxes. Since the author is also a noted collector of toys she has approached the book with an effort to be helpful to would-be collectors by providing alphabetical entries on the major toy manufacturers, and linking their names in the description of the illustrations. Contains index and a bibliography.
