Narrative Description:
This is a masterpiece of Arts & Crafts style by one of the most highly regarded of American fine presses of the period. (The Elston Press finished printing the edition of 260 books 2 days before a fire in their New Rochelle studio.) Two woodcuts printed in black and decorated initials printed in red throughout the book by H M O'Kane. Endpapers have cat watermark. Designed by Clark Conwell in a lively reflection of the Doves and Kelmscott ethos; an especially beautiful book.

Book: Good / no dust jacket as issued Spine toned and the paste behind the spine label is slightly discolored, label has small chips with 1 cm tear; light shelfwear, fading and soiling to cover, lightly shaken but pages all secure and hinges sound, paper clean and fresh. Book is unopened.
