We are currently featuring hand-made books printed letterpress by Gerda Da Rif as well as miniature books by Carol Cunningham. All are limited editions and make lovely gift items.
Note: Carpe Libris is available to buy OR sell by appointment and can arrange for on-site consultations to address the needs of the infirm, elderly, or anyone deaccessing.
Sun Dec 4, 2005: Carpe Libris was at the Holiday Boutique at the Weston Women's League Children's Holiday Breakfast. We'll be featuring miniature books by Carol Cunningham's Sunflower Press and ephemera. The event was held at the Weston, CT Middle School from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Sun Oct 30, 2005: The Champagne Reception to mark the opening of the Gerda Da Rif exhibit was held at the Weston Public Library, 56 Norfield Road, Weston, CT. Come meet the artist and view her work in many media; her books and her other art are for sale through Carpe Libris. The Exhibition continues through November 12th.
Sat/Sun July 16 & 17, 2005: We were at the Westport Historical Society Second Annual "Ultimate Sale".
Saturday, July 9, 2005: We had a table and was part of the festivities at the APA Wayzgoose 2005 in Tarrytown, NY.
Saturday, June 25, 2005: We were at the 11th annual Cooperstown Book Fair, in the Clark Sports Center, Susquehanna Avenue, Cooperstown.
Sunday, May 15, 2005: We were at the Weston Historical Society Antique Fair, featuring the work of Weston graphical artist, Gerda Da Rif.
Saturday, April 9, 2005: We were at the Festival of Words, Norwalk Community College, CT.
December, 2004: We are proud to announce that our business name, Carpe Libris®, is now a registered trademark.
October 1, 2004: Carpe Libris is now available to buy OR sell by appointment -- at your place, ours, or another suitable location. We are offering this service especially to address the needs of the infirm, elderly, or for those deaccessioning.
September 1, 2004: Carpe Libris is now offering letterpress printing as a service to our customers through our Green Dolphin Press division. Contact us directly if you are interested in working on a project together, such as a private printing for a holiday keepsake, limited edition print, poetry, etc.
August 2004: We received some additional fine press and miniature books. Check out our Private Press titles by clicking on the links from our home page.
July 20, 2004: We took seven shelves of our books up to the Whately Antiquarian Book Center in North Hatfield, MA (13 State Rd - Route 5), where we join 45 other book vendors in this interesting antiquarian book store (Visit daily 10-5:30 except Sunday 12-5, closed Wednesdays).
June 26, 2004: Carpe Libris had a booth at the Tenth Annual Cooperstown Antiquarian Book Fair.
May 16, 2004: We had a booth at the First Annual Weston Antiques Fair, 10-4, Coley Farm on Rt. 57, 2 miles north of the Merritt. We enjoyed meeting many of our book collector neighbors.

March 2004: Brenda and David completed Descriptive Bibliography course at University of Virginia's Rare Book School. We're cataloging up a storm now. You'll see many additional books being listed over the next few months!
Feb 22, 2004: Our new website goes live, with more detailed access to our on-line inventory. (The private press website gets reloated to privatepress.carpelibris.com.)
October, 2003: The private press subset of our web site premieres at www.carpelibris.com.
